Newburgh Light House

Newburgh Light House

2025

Auburn Village

Conveniently located in Auburn Village, Newburgh Light House presents a highly sustainable housing solution, accommodating up to 21 people over 10 levels, on an almost un-buildable 150 m² site, right on a historic train station. Full level apartments with lifts opening directly into them and private car allotments.

This was a challenging build with significant constraints. On site, we had no street access and were working with just a 150m² site, while administratively, the location directly adjacent to the train line created additional regulatory and liability hurdles. We are so proud of what stands on that tiny site now, a testament to innovative design and to what’s possible.

Brilliantly designed by architects Splinter Society who are shortlisted for The National House Awards in the ‘Apartment or Unit’ category, The Australian Interior Design Awards and The Australian Institute of Architecture Awards - Residential - Multiple Housing category for this project.

By day, Newburgh Light House presents a highly refined collection of adaptable homes, beautifully lit throughout. By night, it’s a beacon of light, warming Auburn village and its historic train station.
